Product Overview
In 2018, the groundwater flow velocity and direction meter was listed as a necessary instrument for soil and groundwater environmental damage forensic identification by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.
Currently, groundwater flow velocity and direction meters are divided into two categories: one is based on the thermal pulse method, which is greatly affected by water pressure and can generally only detect the flow velocity and direction of water within 60 meters; the other uses the particle tracing method, which is inaccurate when the groundwater is too clear or too turbid. The AML920 groundwater flow velocity and direction meter uses particle tracing measurement technology.
The AML920 groundwater flow velocity and direction meter does not require multiple wells; it can obtain three-dimensional vector data of groundwater in a single well. It can continuously and automatically measure online in real time, generating thousands of sets of "true, accurate, complete, fast, and new" data per minute, ensuring you obtain sufficient statistical data to support research, environmental monitoring, law enforcement, investigation, and assessment needs. Technical Features
- At a certain water level, it achieves overhead and 360° panoramic views, which imported and domestic instruments cannot simultaneously present.
- It enables wireless remote control via mobile phones and tablets; imported instruments only have displays, thus having no comparable counterparts domestically or internationally.
- If the water is too clear, the flow direction and velocity cannot be measured. After adding 1 mg of Amerchol contrast agent, the flow direction becomes visible, and the flow velocity can be measured.
- It has a dedicated cleaning film to prevent cross-contamination between different groundwater bodies, which competing products lack.
- The cable has built-in meter markings, allowing for one-time completion of testing and operation, reducing the need for one instrument and one operation compared to competitors.
- The lifting pump allows for manual and automatic switching, operable with the strength of a young girl, which competitors cannot achieve.

AML920 measurement of groundwater flow velocity and direction does not require multiple wells. In a single well, the multi-functional probe is lowered to the well section to be measured using a cable with meter markings and a lifting winch. Depending on the well conditions, the brightness, contrast, saturation, chroma, and rotation angle of the camera channel are adjusted by the multi-functional probe control device and control application software to capture particle movement information. This information is input to the controller's visual algorithm and three-dimensional vector algorithm via the cable with meter markings, and the groundwater flow velocity and direction are determined in real time.
