In 2018, the groundwater flow meter was listed as an essential instrument for judicial appraisal of soil and groundwater environmental damage by the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment.

There are currently two types of groundwater flow velocity and direction meters. One type is based on the thermal pulse method, which is greatly affected by water pressure and can generally only detect the flow velocity and direction of water within 60 meters; Another type uses particle tracing method, which cannot measure the local water quality even if it is too clear or too mixed. The AML920 groundwater flow meter uses particle tracking measurement technology.

The AML920 groundwater flow meter does not require multiple wells and can obtain three-dimensional vector data of groundwater in a single well. It can continuously and automatically measure online in real-time, and can generate several sets of "true, accurate, complete, fast, and new" data per minute, ensuring that you have sufficient statistical data to support scientific research, environmental monitoring, law enforcement, investigation, evaluation, and other needs. The working depth is 500 meters.
